How Capitalise will build your capital advisory team

Capitalise is more than software and data. With our training and support, we can build your capital advisory team, or just lend a helping hand.

Paul Surtees Aug 04, 2021

Capitalise is more than software and data. Building an accounting firm’s capacity and capability is our forte, which we deliver through ongoing training and support for your capital advisory team.

The core of what we do – providing advanced search tools to match clients with finance options –  is covered thoroughly in our insight section. Do have a look at that.

Here, though, we want to talk about how, with our support, our partners build fully-fledged capital advisory functions, from scratch.

Why train through Learn?

Our specially made training programme, Learn, is moulded to fit with the needs and wishes of accountants who are either new to funding or want to brush up on their existing knowledge to support their clients in gaining access to finance.

Nowadays, such knowledge is essential for any good accountant, as clients increasingly turn to their accountants for guidance when it comes to advice on growing their businesses.

Learn offers a way to better support your clients, while also refreshing or building team knowledge – again and again, at any time you need it.

Learn also awards your practice with certification badges that you can share on social media and on your firm’s website to demonstrate your expertise to clients. This will send a strong signal that yours is a proactive and up-to-date accounting practice. It’s also a great way to get those CPD hours in.

How Learn works

Learn is spread across three courses: Core, Adviser and Mastery.

All three can be done at the trainee’s own pace, complete with downloads and print outs to take away.

It’s not just trawling through text, either. We’ve seamlessly integrated relevant, real-life scenarios and examples into the courses to keep things fresh and focused, while interactive quizzes will keep your team present and on their toes.

Depending on the package you decide to purchase with us, your team will get slightly different Learn features, but all firms from starters to enterprises get access to 23 lessons across five modules and succinct progress tracking.

Note that firms that purchase the Starter or Partner packages with us will get their training delivered online to a group, while Pro and Enterprise will get onsite training, expertly tailored to their needs, wants and wishes.

Always by your side

Our support doesn’t just disappear when your team has got their Core or Mastery certificate mounted on the wall, just like Learn doesn’t disappear once a course is completed.

Through a 90-day firm-wide programme, we can support you when you're building the foundation of your practice from internal processes to external marketing promotions.

It’s split into three phases: building and training the team, launching a strategic initiative complete with goals for success, and promoting your new service online.

Depending on which option a capital advisory firm goes for, they’ll have a dedicated account manager only a phone call or email away, client manager training and a strategic implementation plan.

We also offer online materials and tailored support for marketing – a crucial part of any growth strategy that can easily go under the radar of accounting firms as teams understandably like to focus on their clients instead.
