Product update: Capital Report

Elevate your client conversations with the newly enhanced Capital Report

This article looks at the latest updates to the Capital Report, designed to help UK accountants give more value during client meetings. Since 2022, this tool has pulled Monitor dashboard insights into a professional PDF to show a business credit score and the factors that change it. We have spent the last 18 months making the report even better by adding pre-qualified funding eligibility and deeper data integrations with Experian. These changes help you show clients exactly how much they can borrow and provide a clear path to improve their financial health.

Our shareable Capital Reports have brought the information on your Monitor dashboard into a handy designed pdf document for your clients since 2022. So you can:

  • Prepare for client meetings in minutes and supercharge your conversations with all your insights in one report

  • Allow clients to see their business credit score and the factors impacting it

  • Review and compare their business performance

  • Highlight overdue payments and risks to cashflow

But over the past 18 months, did you know we had been making continual improvements, so it’s now even better! In case you missed them, here’s what we’ve been working on:

Pre-qualified funding eligibility

Using your client’s business credit profile, we show a list of pre-qualified facilities from various lenders. Because we work closely with lender underwriting teams, we can show how much a client is likely to get and what they are eligible for before they even apply. The pre-selection feature gives your client a clear idea of what is available in the market, subject to affordability checks. This helps them fast track their funding decisions.

Credit Review Service prompts

In partnership with Experian, the Credit Review Service has been available through Capitalise since 2022. It is designed to help businesses improve their credit scores so they can get better lending terms. With this service, a business gets to contribute more data to Experian’s analysts, which helps ensure the score reflects the most current information. This process has a 96% success rate in improving business credit scores within just a few days. You can now use the Capital Report to remind your clients about this service and help them build a stronger financial profile.

Control over sections

We know that you need to change your reports to fit the needs of different clients, so we added the ability to choose which sections you include. You can now select or de-select specific parts of the PDF before you download it. This ensures that if you want to focus purely on securing funding or a specific business credit score issue, you can remove extra data. This feature puts you in total control of your reporting and your client conversations.

Expanded credit risk factors

We have added more detail to the credit risk factors section so you can share specific insights with your clients. A business credit score is the first information lenders look at when a company wants to find a business loan, bid for new contracts, or maintain a positive profile. With these extra details, you can show exactly what is helping or hurting their score. This allows you to give genuine value to your client and build a solid plan for improving their rating.

Improved report formatting

We are always working to make our Capital Reports easier to read and share. This update includes more than just a new look; we have improved the fonts, sizes, and the way data flows across pages. We have also tidied up the spacing and alignment to ensure the report is clear and easy to digest. These changes ensure that every document you share reflects the high professional standards of your firm.

Let us help you

We hope these improvements help you have better conversations with your clients. If you need any help to use the Capital Report or want to talk about how to show these insights to your clients, please contact your Partnership Manager or email partner.support@capitalise.com.
