Big things have happened at Capitalise this past year, we’ve enjoyed a period of immense growth... not only are we one of the final 12 fintech companies in the running for the “Open Up Challenge”, we’ve also been nominated for the AccountingExcellence “Cloud App of the Year” award. Our partners have doubled in the last year whilst our partnership team has grown by 300% - just 2 weeks ago we introduced Monica and Noura to our dynamic and fun team.

In three words describe yourself? Fun, energetic, thrifty
Biggest challenge in the last two weeks? Building connections and trying to establish myself amongst the Accountant community
...Best thing? Realising that the team members are the kind of people I’d genuinely be friends with not just colleagues
Favourite team member? Paul for the amount of time he’s invested in me and Monica and how much he actually cares about us, this is quite rare from the senior-most member of the company
Scary team member? Ollie Maitland, he’s just so smart it scares me.

So Monica why Capitalise? I really believe that Capitalise is changing the way businesses approach lending. This can be seen by the community of passionate people that work here who are incredibly honest, hard-working, and accommodating.

Biggest challenge in the last two weeks? Being a human sponge. Learning the ins and outs and making connections within the industry.
...Best thing? The people. Everyone at Capitalise is extremely welcoming and friendly. They’re always willing to help and provide their own expertise.
Favourite team member? Isobel. She is always there for me when I have questions about work/life. I moved here from Canada only a month ago, and with life moving at such a fast pace it’s nice to have someone to turn to. (shoutout to Will and Yohan too)
Scary team member? Paul, probably because I annoy him so much. I think the next time I ask him to use his laptop charger, my laptop will mysteriously disappear…
While we look back on a period of success, it’s important to look to the future of Capitalise which is equally as promising. We’re super excited about the development of our new product Capitalise Protect, which will in essence blend insurance and finance in an attempt to reform the UK securitisation model. We’re continuing to grow our team and our partners on a daily basis so it’s safe to say Monica and Noura have joined at a crucial time… no pressure ladies!
